Brambles Nubian Goat Farm

Welcome to Brambles Nubian Goat Farm, we hope you enjoy the tour! Located in rural Manitoba, against the backdrop of a beautiful river valley; this farm has been our home since we moved to Canada from the UK. Brambles is we believe a true example of a healthy balance between preserving eco-systems and maintaining a sustainable family run working farm.

Although the focus of this site is upon the Nubian goat herd; we also have Guernsey dairy cows, Red Angus cattle and a variety of heritage chickens. Each critter has its place on our farm and the Guernsey dairy cows are in particular a new and interesting venture.

Alongside our domestic livestock; we share the valley with many wild animals. We have counted 78 different types of bird on our property throughout the year; as well as larger wild animals. Besides which oyster shells, crabs and crayfish line the banks of the river that runs throughout the farm.

In 2007, we decided to offer a unique accommodation in the form of a English style Gypsy Caravan, so that we could share our farm with interested visitors. The caravan was built entirely from local materials; some of which came from our own sustainable woodlot.

So, please take a look at Brambles Nubian Goat Farm and if you have any questions, just ask - we are never reluctant to talk about our farm and animals - especially Nubian goats!!

Over the coming months we will be making updates and changes to our website, to keep up to date with information on our farm, concerning both the goats and accommodation, please visit our new blog! www.bramblesnubianfarm.com/blog/
